Hey all,
I was just wondering how many wid-ranged music people we have in here. I do like hiphop, R&B and some of the mainstream stuff, but I'm also into sstuff that really isn't played on the radio, like celtic music, (cChieftains, DUblinners, Clancy Brothers, Enya, Maire Brennan, and the Furies to name a few) some new age stuf (Elaine Silver, Quitaro, Monica Ramos) and Sally odfield. I like electronica too and some of what my brother used to call ambiant music. I was wondering how many others were into eclectic/underground music and what genres/types there were?
Hello, I enjoy listening to music by ennia. I've heard about celtic music but never listened to it sounds interesting. Interesting topic.
My tastes go all over the place. I won't make a list here, but I like stuff from classic rock to classical jazz to blues to experimental music. I just don't really follow much that's current anymore, and haven't since the mid to late Eighties unless it was especially unique and interested me.
I as well go all over the place musically, especially on my radio show anything goes, but even when I'm not broadcasting I do the same thing, just imagine one minute I'm playing joss stone, then the next it's Iced Earth, you get the idea, I can come up with very interestingly crazy music mixes.

*raises hand* another ecclectic music-lover here. A bit of a rock chick, love the mellow singer/songwriters, a fan of old-school jazz though I don't have much time for acid, like something from most genres of classical, a smattering of opera, am educating myself in terms of metal and rap and I'm getting there, have a lot of time for folk and folk influences in other styles, like trance in clubs, and have been known to get really into country when I've had a few. That ecclectic enough?
